Don Leech , our President, died on August 4th after a long illness bravely borne. Don was instrumental in setting up the Talking Newspaper in the early 1980’s when he was a Lecturer at Rolle College. The annual Exmouth & District Talking Newspaper Birthday Party will be held at The Imperial Hotel on Saturday September 30th 2017 at 3pm. All Listeners and Volunteers are invited. Please let Gill Laws (secretary) know if you wish to attend. Transport can be arranged on request.
4 Volunteers Needed Exmouth & District Talking Newspaper is in need of 4 new volunteers. We are looking for two Registrars, one Editor and one Reader. Registrar. The registrars work on Thursday afternoons for about 2 hours, just once every 6 weeks. They receive and prepare the wallets ready for the weekend recordings. Editor. The Exmouth and District Talking Newspaper has held its 34th birthday party. The event, which took place at the Imperial Hotel, was enjoyed by the service’s volunteers and listeners.
